Understandably, the podiatrist/foot surgeon wants to avoid surgery. So he duct taped a bunch of thick pads on the bottoms of my insole. I have to admit it did make them more cushiony and supportive. I have to give it 2 weeks and hope it improves things ( Read more... )

I've not updated in what seems like forever. SSDD (Same Shit Different Day), really.

1. It's been awhile since I've done an actual update. On Monday I went with my tradition (started by renniekins) of "celebrating" my birthday by donating blood. Previously I went online and found a few blood drives nearby, so I just chose one for the most convenient date. I gave blood today. Pulse rate 62, BP 98/60, temp 98.4. I told her she would have to "spin" my blood because it usually sinks. She told me they don't do that anymore. Now they check the iron when they check the hemoglobin. One needs a minimum "rating" of 12.5 in order to donate. Mine was 14. I don't know what that all means & I could probably ( Read more... )

1. There is definitely something wrong with my tire. There was considerable air leakage over night. Unfortunately, I won't have the money for new tires until later next week. That means I will have to keep filling the tire with air everyday and hope that it doesn't get worse.

The last time I went was after work, along with many other people so there was a bit of a wait. This time I took a book although I went earlier in the day. I did not have to wait this time. They ushered me around quickly.

I heard on the radio this morning about a blood drive in the city just north of where I work. The place wasn't very far away, so after work I went.
